PROGRAM FOR : MARRAKECH SAHARA TRAVEL FOR 5 DAYS :

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE -  DADES VALLEY

Our Morocco excursion starts today and our All Over Morocco Tours driver will pick up you from your hotel and we can start 5 4x4 Marrakech tour to Erg Chebbi in 5 days . Depart from Marrakech airport or from your hotel and travel through the High Atlas mountains. On the way to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, we will turn off the main road onto a track to visit the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a jewel of the region, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is a fortified village with beautiful, decorated crenelated towers, one of the most beautiful kasbahs in the Glaua region. After time to climb to the top and wander through the kasbah, we will discover the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the palm tree-filled valley. We will take a stroll through the vast, labyrinthine oasis, which contains beautiful secret kasbahs. From here, we continue through the Valley of the Roses to visit the stunning Dades Gorges, where we will either spend the night in a hotel beside the Dades river or in Kelaat M'Gouna.

DAY 2: DADES VALLEY - TODRA GORGES - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA

Today  we will drive along the shores of Boumalne, where it opens out onto a road marked by kasbahs (citadel) and ksours, whose landscape is beige, red and mauve. All around us we will find rocky plateaus where camels graze. After a journey full of ksours, oases and palm trees, we will reach Tinghir and we  visit Todra Gorge, whose walls are narrow and rise increasingly steeply, reaching 300 m in height. There will be some free time to walk around the gorges. We then enter the palm tree-filled area of Jorf and progress steadily to Erfoud, where the best dates in the country are collected, then finally reach the desert, with Merzouga's voluptuous dunes of fine golden sand. From the hotel, we will ride camels for around 90 minutes to reach the desert camp in the middle of the desert. Here we will spend a tranquil night in a Berber tent under sky.

DAY 3: TOUR ERG CHEBBI 4X4  - RISSANI'S AUTHENTIC SOUK - MERZOUGA

If you like, we can wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise from a high dune. We will then return to the hotel, again by dromedary, to have breakfast and a shower if you wish. A 4WD air-conditioned vehicle will then take us on a tour of the area surrounding Erg Chebbi; a sandy stretch of desert where the route taken by the former Paris-Dakar Rally crosses Morocco's great dunes, over 250 m high, with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background. We will stop at a scenic spot from where you can see the whole of Erg Chebbi. Next, we will visit Khamlia, where you can relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a concert of the Gnaoua's spiritual music, after which we will visit the nomads of the desert and have tea with them. We will then continue to Rissani and tyhen we return to the hotel in the desert for lunch.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA - N’QOB - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE

Today we will travel to the Dra’a Valley via the village of Tazzarine we travel to N’Qob and the Dra’a Valley towards Agdz, passing oases and kasbahs alongside the river. Morocco's oldest kasbah, Kasbah Tamnougalt in the Dra'a Valley, is situated near Agdz, and you will have some time to visit it. Some parts are now ruins, but some are still fully occupied. The last part of the day's journey will be across the Tizi-n-Tinifft pass to Ouarzazate. Here you will spend the night.

DAY 5: TRAVEL FROM MERZOUGA TO AGDZ - AIT BENHADDOU AND MARRAKECH

After breakfast we visit the cinematography museum of Ouarzazate and walk in the footsteps of many famous actors. The road then continues along the Ounila valley, with beautiful and prosperous villages, stunning mountains and views of traditional Berber architecture. We will reach Marrakech in the evening.
